I recently started constructing a huge set of modular pieces for a miniature golf course. It started out as a small set of modular pieces as an exercise in building modular assets for kitbashing and quickly got out of hand as I got carried away making over 80 pieces! I’ve since made some textures and started to UV the pieces, as well as making a few accessory pieces and obstacles. This is just a small example that uses about a dozen total modular pieces from the set. It only took a couple minutes to put together using the pieces. Now that I’ve made it all I want to do is play it!
Modeled in maya, textures made with substance painter. Each modular piece uses two tiling 2k materials. Other pieces such as the flag, tunnels, tee mat, balls, and tower obstacles use their own material, either 1k or 2k depending on size/fidelity.
