Monte Albán, "Danzantes" from Building L-sub3D Model
A small section of Building L-sub–which lies within Building L–can be accessed to view its facade featuring elaborately carved stone monuments. Popularly known as the “Danzantes,” the stones depict individuals in a variety of distinctive poses. Archaeologists believe there were originally more than 300 carved stones here, but the facade was later covered by Building L and many of the stones removed and reused in other structures at the site.
