A monument erected in 1867 for the fallen soldiers of the Belgian Army during their campaign (1864-1865) in Mexico. The monument bears the names of the soldiers and displays the names of three cities in Mexico: Tocambaro, Loma and Morelia. The two eagles holding a snake in bronze, disappeared during World War 1 (the monument stands in the center of a military garrison captured and used by the German Army in both wars). After the war the eagles and snakes were replaced by copies.
The height of the monument is 6,5 meters. I could not capture from above, everything was captured from ground level, hence its imperfections.
One can find and visit the monument at: 51.1186, 5.2706 (Leopoldsburg, Belgium - road between Leopoldsburg and Hechtel).
This model was created on April 28th 2021. I took 260 pictures with a Sony Nex7 cam. Sent the batch to Agisoft Metashape and corrected it a bit using SimLab Composer 9.
It is a first experiment, need some more refinement!
