Moth - 3D scan made with David SLS-2

My first scan testing the old but still surprisingly good David SLS-2 3D scanner!

For this scan I took 16 frames @30mm calibration size. The scanning and fusing took like 10 minutes on modern hardware, although setting everything up also took another 5 minutes.

Texture is a little blurry because the moth only filled 1/8th of the frame during scanning, unfortunately I’d need to get a smaller calibration plate than the supplied David one to get closer. Maybe I’ll try to make one in the future.
