MP 41(r)

The MP 41(r) (Maschinenpistole 41(r)) is a German submachine gun developed from captured Soviet PPSh-41 submachine guns. The conversion features rechambering for 9x19mm Parabellum instead of the standard 7,62x25mm TT. In 1943-1944. more than 10,000 PPSh were adapted to fire standard 9x19 Parabellum ammunition by replacing the barrel and reworking the magazine receiver, which made it possible to use a standard 32-round MP.38/MP.40 magazine.
