The mug was found during the expedition organized by Moscow Memorial society to the Solovetsky Islands in July 1991, in the area of Lake Dolgoe. Non-factory production, made on a potter’s wheel, firing and glazing are uneven. The mug was possibly made at the local pottery workshop, initially belonged to the monastery, and from 1923 to the Solovetsky camp of special purpose.
