Web shooter based off of the Amazing Spider-Man movie. Features a swappable cartridge system with three functions: firstly, a watch cartridge that tells the time. Secondly, the function of shooting a web that can then be retracted back into the cartridge via a motor. Lastly, the function of shooting a thicker, more resilient web that is reloaded manually. This web shooter also has a projectile detection system, which turns on five green LEDs when the device is ready to fire. Modeled in Fusion 360 and printed on my Prusa i3 MK2 in blue PETG and clear polycarbonate.
Making this took six months of prototyping and iteration. Learning from failure after failure after failure, I rejoiced in the small victories and eureka moments that propelled this project along. My main lesson (among many) from this process was that simpler is better. The less complications and moving parts in a system, the easier it is to build and the higher chance things will work out as envisioned.
