More model informationThe Hilma Hooker is a 50’s era cargo ship in delightful condition, surrounded by spectacular Bonaire reef. The tale of her sinking involves smugglers and bureaucracy, and is worth taking a skim over at Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hilma_Hooker). The wreck rests on her starboard side in 100ft of crystal clear seawater, home to all manner of sea life.
This was my first wreck to model in clear water, and my first to model with strobes instead of video lights; many lessons were learned. Data was collected by Itai Rosenberger and Daniel McMath, with Ashley Stewart as safety diver. Shore support was provided by Buddy Dive, with special thanks to German “Mr. G” Arrango and Jaime Huertas.
