The wooden 186 ft freighter Myron, built in 1888 was lost in a storm off Crisp Point, Lake Superior near Whitefish Bay in 1919. It was towing the barge Miztec which was cut loose. All hands were lost except the captain who had put his family in a lifeboat just as the ship went under dragging the lifeboat and passengers under and to their death. The Miztec and its crew escaped the storm only to founder a year and a half later within 2 miles of the Myron. The model of the site was created from 1800 - 6720 x 4480 pixel images.
