Nauan Khazret died in 1916 at the age of 73 and was buried in a Muslim cemetery on the shores of Lake Kopa. However, until later days, the exact time and place of his death remained unknown, so in 2001 Talasov, as the grandson of Nauryzbai’s student, paid Khamzin at his own expense for the “Nauan Khazret” monument, erected at the entrance to the cemetery. Some time later, the ancient tombstone that the cemetery had placed on the head was leveled to the ground and found split in half.
