The Fountain of Neptune or of Life was inaugurated in 1984, the work of the artist Luis Sanguino , [ 1 ] being the central monument of the famous Macroplaza in the city of Monterrey , capital city of the state of Nuevo León . This fabulous fountain and sculpture, portraying the Roman god of the seas, was built to commemorate the hydraulic plan to supply water to the city of Monterrey .
