More model informationThese are the main motifs on this shelf of sandstone bedrock at the Nether Glenny-Ballochraggan rock art group near Port of Menteith at NN 56880 02768.
The left hand cup mark is surrounded closely with three inner rings and the fourth orbits these at a disproportionately large radius. Two parallel grooves radiate from the second & third rings respectively to join the adjacent smaller cup and ring mark.
The grooves of the rings have almost continuous alignments of small circular pits within them. These appear to be tool marks that have been enhanced by weathering.
