Network fabric in silica sinter, Opal Mound Fault, Milford, Utah, USA. Fabric is made of thin threads of silica forming a web-like pattern. This fabric results from the presence of cyanobacteria (their silicified exopolysaccharides form the threads) in a mid-temperature (45˚C to 60˚C) setting, and forms in drying-out pool margins.
