Site R, near Ramsgill in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire, England.
Trench 1 across what appeared to be the smaller of two probable iron age round houses. The structure forms part of a site which includes complex enclosure walling running north through to east.
Trench 2 was put across a mound to the east of the smaller hut circle. The excavation highlighted multiple phases, included a rough wall, a fire, a few layers of cobbles (some fire cracked).
This model was created from aerial imagery captured on Friday 16th June (day 4 of the excavation), prior to work starting for the day.
The excavations are being conducted as part of the Our Farm Heritage Project which is being delivered through the HLF funded Upper Nidderdale Landscape Partnership Scheme: http://uppernidderdale.org.uk/historic-nidderdale/our-farm-heritage/
