Nightstick, 1935-36 Marble Strike no Annotations3D Model
Nightstick or watchman’s club from Vermont Marble Strike of 1935-1936. Owned and decorated by Harry L. Hall (1878-1956), night watchman for the Vermont Marble Company during the strike. From the Collections of the Vermont Historical Society (2018.19), gift of William Hall. Burned wood decorations depict scenes from the strike, including the “Battles of Barrett Hill & W.Rutland,” the dynamiting of trains and bridges, fights, and other events, as well as a list of names of the participants. Scanned with an Artec Spider 3D scanner at the Vermont HIstory Center in Barre, VT. Post-processed using Artec Studio 18 at Vermont State University-Castleton. Additional details TBA. Please note - leather strap digitally removed during post-processing; zones originally covered by strap repaired using texture healing tool. We will be publishing a separate annotated version soon.
