More model informationModels on this site may give you the impression that 3D scanning is easy and usually gives good results. However, this is not generally the case. Many 3D scans based on photogrammetry fail, even when the input quality of photos is good.
The ways in which the scan fails are numerous, but one of the most common are smooth or shiny surfaces. This amorphous blob of camera is a good illustration of the failure of photogrammetry. So, if your scans look like this, don’t give up! Keep scanning stuff and try to choose things with a non-repetitive or smooth textures for the bet possible results.
