More model informationThis is a Bronze Age / Early Iron Age wooden sword most probably used for combat training from Cappagh, Co. Kerry in Ireland, dated to the first quarter of the first millennium BC. A slight polishing can be seen on one side of the hilt-side of the pommel and around the shoulders on the other side, which may be use-wear from repeated handling of this object prior to its breakage. The data was captured and model was made by Marina Milic and Barry Molloy with permission from the National Museum of Ireland.
