North Lordenshaw 6c(i) (March 2006)3D Model
Outcrop on private farmland near Whitton Dean, south of Rothbury, Northumberland.
Referenced ‘North Lordenshaw 6c(i)’ on the Beckensall Archive (BA) and described as having “Two cups, one of which is small.” NADRAP subsequently added the record to ERA in 2008, describing:
“There are distinct features: an angular feature, centrally, placed, with another at the northeast side of the rock, are thought artificial but for later fence posts. Only one cup is easily recognisable and deep. The others appear flattened and shallow. Grooves are sharp and could be of later dates.”
Rock sits within this area protected by another Historic England listing: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1011293
