More model informationThe 300 ft steel package freighter North Star was built in 1889 and was one of six sister ships all with names starting with North – North King, North Queen, North Wind, North Light, and North Wave. In 1908 while carrying a load of shingles and grain she collided with one of her sister ships the North Queen in dense fog and sank off Port Sanilac, Lake Huron. Today she rests in about 100 ft of water broken but with much of her machinery on site. The model was created from 6,411 30 and 50 megapixel images shot by Brian Bosveld and Andrew Goodman on one DPV dive.
