More model information

R32, (no, not the car) is a 60-foot long old New York City Subway train car that has the fleet ran from 1964 until its farewell retirement in early January 2022. It’s the first stainless-steel subway car fleet since the late 1940s R11s (now as R34) were built but only 10 cars existed. It fleet had a total of 600 cars built. They were built to replace many remaining BMT Standards and all remaining BMT D Triplex Units in the early 1960s. The R32s originally had the blue doors and had front bullet roof rollsigns but later replaced with LED in early 1990s, as well as the old M logo now with MTA logo. The fleet then started to decline due to new tech trains R143s and R160s entering service in early 2000s. The fleet was dropped down to about 222 cars remaining as of 2010s. Finally, in 2020, the remaining R32s on both A/C and J/Z were replaced by brand-new R179s. But shortly after, the R179s had issues and were taken out of service and R32s returned for a short time. Lastly, the R179s returned and the R32s retired.
