More model informationOdin Mine is a disused lead mine in the Peak District National Park, potentially it was first worked by the Romans, and then subsequently by the Saxons and the Danes. With the earliest documentation being in 1663.
The mine was worked continuously throughout the 18th century with annual ore extraction varying between 100 and 800 tonnes per annually.
(NOTE, this mine is extremely unstable and should not be entered under any circumstances without the specialist equipment and training needed)
