I created a complete office setup in Autocad and exported the models to 3D Studio and with a combination of 3D Studio & Blender applied UV’s and mapping to the furniture.
I did a lot of research to understand how this hole process works, and its still a huge process. Using Youtube and various other resources to understand the whole model creation, UV mapping and texturing process.
Then there is lighting and boy, if you mess this up everything fails. I think this is by far the most difficult process to understand. Lightbouncing, Ambiant Occlusion, Normal Mapping, very important to show bumpiness on your models.
Then there is Unreal Engine. I tried Unity for a while, then moved over to Unreal Engine. Mainly because the programming is done through visual scritping, a little easier to accomplish especially for someone like me who is a 3D Designer and not a programmer. I did a lot of training on Unreal Engine and is a fun.
