Old English canon (HMS Maidstone)

This gun came from HMS Maidstone, a Fifty guns ship build in 1744 with more than 300 men on board. It sank in 1747 off the coast of Noirmoutier (Western France). See Wikipedia (in French - the English page is shorter :) https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Maidstone_(1744)

This heavy artillery canon was manned by a crew of 13 sailors.
