More model informationTested out some methods for cutting square holes in Cylinders. OpenSubdiv with CreaseSet modifier turned out to work great in those scenarios , causing the least amount of artifacts considering the density of the base mesh and how easy it was to setup. However, with TurboSmooth + Champer (or QuadChamper) it was possible to get similar results but it required some tweaking and it didn’t work well on very charp edges. Again, I’m talking about middle poly count (not absolutely low poly, but not too dense) of the base mesh. If you crank up the initial poly count of the model such holes will be cut easily with any modifier and almost without any artifacts.
