Operation Quarantine tunnel boring machine

In an attempt to breach the corrupted defenses and to gain access to the corrupted tunnel system during the late 2180s and 2190s there was a single attempt made to go trough the swedish quarantine zone and to access the tunnels trough the southern border it shared with the corruption.

As there was no data about what lied beyond the nordic walls built in the 1700s other than the knowledge that the disease inside them had destroyed the empire that once ruled from within. The mission was top secret and the people enlisted to it were informed they would not become heroes even if they managed to succeed as the quarantine area was a part of the international laws prohibiting any access.

Its not known what happened to the people after they went over the 30 meters high walls lifting all their equipment in. Only remains are the tunnel boring machines neatly parked 300 meters into the area. its likely the disease is still largely active.
