Description: Ore sample from hydrothermal ore deposit (Baia Mare mining area, Romania) with ore minerals (Pyrite and Chalcopyrite). This is a typical sample from the Baia Mare mining area (hydrothermal deposits - intermediate-sulfidation). Several Chalcopyrite crystals are iridescent (purple, blue, and red iridescent colors) and are commonly striated in different directions on different crystal faces. Magnetite crystals are also present within the sample, and is an important source of iron.
