The rock art at Ormaig enjoys a beautiful situation, with views over Loch Craignish to Ardfern. Ormaig 2 is a large, sprawling and complex rock sheet of rock. It is highly fractured and is indented with areas of turf that split it into different sections. Much of the surface has no rock art upon it, but the eastern arm of rock is intensely decorated with motifs. There are many cup marks, a great proportion having from one to multiple rings around them. There is also a complex field of grooves over a large section of the rock.
The site is reached by a walk of about 2.5 miles, starting at Carnasserie Castle car park.
