More model informationThe Newgrange Orthostat C2 is a stone dating from the Neolithic, located within the passage grave (ME019-045----) at Newgrange, Brú na Bóinne, Co. Meath, Ireland. Orthostat C2 is situated on the south side of the west recess within the tomb. It is peck-dressed and decorated with a large spiral. Above the spiral, a motif of diamonds can be seen. Similar motifs are seen across the corpus of decorated stones from Newgrange. Later graffiti can also be seen on the stone.
