Osago Orange fruit (Maclura pomifera) This is the inedible fruit of a tree with an interesting past, the only surviving member of the genus Maclura. Its hard wood was used to make war-clubs and bows and Early European settlers used the tree as a timber resource and as an effective livestock hedge.
