The Oum Dreyga meteorite fell on 16 October 2003. It was observed by Moroccan soldiers stationed in Western Sahara who saw a meteorite (probably: fireball) falling on Gour Lafkah Mountains. Most stones have been collected south of Zbayra, about 21 km from Oum Dreyga. Overall the meteorite classifies as a fresh specimen, despite many stones being recovered after rainfall which slightly oxidized them. The meteorite is a H3-5 breccia with a black fusion crust.
