More model informationThis trench was positioned to reveal the back end of the ring-ditch exposed in trench 4, as the geophysics suggested there might be a doorway on this side too. As it turns out, there isn’t an entrance, but we took some more samples from the ring-ditch for post-excavation analysis! As there are no drains in this trench, the samples have less chance of being contaminated by modern disturbance.
