More model informationDetailed view of central part of the beach section which is parallel to a northeast-trending anticline. The rocks are interbedded slate and metasandstone of the Cambrian-Ordovician turbidite package of the Meguma Supergroup. The nested bedding-parallel quartz veins prominently display the geometry and exposure length of the fold hinge. The veins tend to thicken in the hinge and others are folded. There are cross-cutting faults on the immediate limbs, some of which might be interpreted as part of hinge thrusts.
