Ovoid Macehead, Orkney

This flattened ovoid macehead is labelled ‘Orkney, R.F. Buchanan. 1900’, but unfortunately we do not have a more precise findspot. This macehead exhibits fine pitting on its front face from use and further fine use-damage along its right hand side to the corner of the butt end.
