More model informationp300 is a histone acetyltransferase that acetylate transcriptional regulators and chromatin. p300 cooperates with CBP to recruit the assembly of multicomponent transcription-factor complexes. p300 consists of 4 domains. The HAT domain (white) is the catalytic domain of the protein. The RING domain (green) regulates the activity of HAT domain. The bromodomain (orange) can recognizes acetyled lysines. The PHD domain (blue) interact with other domains to confer rigidity to the protein.
