At the heart of every Beetle Rubigenum Colony is the Queen. Almost spider-like in appearance, the Queen’s sole purpose is to manage the hive and birth new workers and/or soldiers.

The Pale Blight Queen is the most common, most basic variant of the 5 Queens. It has no special mutations other than it’s stone carapace and skin pigmentations used to conceal it in it’s stony chambers. This one is not immediately hostile to creatures, her diet consisting mainly of minerals like Calcium and Quartz. It’s slow metabolic rate makes it more methodical than it’s 4 cousins, and also relatively resilient. It’s body calcifies when it sleeps, and is nearly impervious to heat and acids in this state.

Other Things to Note: Mostly harmless… naming captured specimens ‘Rock Biter’ is strictly forbidden, as are any references to 1980s media.
