I created this scan for a request to check if this is possible at all. It is worth mentioning that the paper used is 40 micrometers thin. You can see that even with a resolution of 60 megapixels it is not that easy at some spots.

For this 3D scan of a paper ball, 444 images from a Sony Alpha 7R4 were used. The raw mesh has 197 million polygons and a 8000x8000 texture. The Displayed Model has 1,5 Mio polygons and a 4000x4000 texture.

Since I don’t think that this model would anyone purchase, I’ll give it to you for private use for free. But if you want so support me, you could purchase one of my other models :) Maybe someday I will be able to afford a pro account… ¯I_(ツ)/¯ Thanks!
