More model informationA “reverspective” optical illusion 3D painting created by Patrick Hughes. Reverspective (reverse perspective) is where the parts of the picture which seem farthest away are actually physically the nearest. This is a model of the actual painting consisting of three triangular apices protruding towards the viewer: the bases of the triangles are farthest away (flat against the wall). The three triangle tops which appear to be in the distance at the end of the geometery are the flat tops and thus the parts of the image physically nearest to the viewer. Rotating this will make you ‘bog-eyed’! This is the painting:
