The model contains approximately 79.3k triangles and 40k vertices, creating a nearly perfect spherical surface that is well suited for scientific visualization, real-time rendering, and interactive applications.
While the original texture is predominantly grayscale, this version has been carefully enhanced with additional color and contrast to improve the visibility of Mercury’s craters, plains, and geological features. These adjustments are intended to make the planet’s surface easier to interpret visually while preserving the underlying structure of the source imagery.
