Urban heat, pollution, noise, overcrowding are the plight of high density cities. Yet, density in metropolitan areas is also a solution to reduce urban footprint and mobility. High quality public space could make high-density cities a garden of paradise for human and non-human life. This manipulated point cloud model is an absurd, yet tempting reimagination of the streets around Niemeyer’s Edifício Copan in Sao Paulo. Instead of busy road traffic, the buildings are immersed in an utopian urban park. In the face of increasing environmental pressures, this type of urban acclimatization landscape is set to become an imperative to ensure urban resilience.
