More model informationThe huge advantages provided by digital photogrammetry over conventional methods have transformed what we can do today compared to 20 years ago. This model was created from 5 scanned Hassleblad slides taken as record shots at West Heslerton in North Yorkshire in 1995 and show the inner face of a fragment of the wall of a Roman Shrine within a dry valley extending between a natural spring and massive well (unexcavated ) 200 m uphill and to the south. This dry valley became part of the focus of an early Anglo-Saxon settlement established c.AD475. for further information from the excavation archive follow the link http://www.landscaperesearchcentre.org/settle/12AFAREA.HTM
