More model informationThis outcrop forms part of the upper section of the early Permian Pebbley Beach Formation near North Pebbles. The sequence here is estuarine, with the base of the outcrop displaying wavy bedding indicating a tidal influence. The next mud-dominated section is a wonderful example of convolute bedding caused by soft-sediment deformation. This is in turn overlain by a cross-bedded sandstone unit, which indicates a westerly directed current.
Lens cap is 64 millimetres in diameter.
