Jeremiah Dixon would always get called a “pencil” in school due to his thin and tall build, getting picked on for his studious nature as well. However, he would always be the one to score the highest grades in class. He thought that if he proved his intelligence to the world one day, they would stop picking on his appearance and mannerisms. He began doing experiments in his free time, but one of them went terribly wrong when he used a mysterious substance, magically fusing with his nearby pencil. At first he thought this was the greatest curse of his lifetime, but he soon realized that his new appearance came with superpowers. He learned that he could erase any nonliving object at will at the cost of his hair shortening, and that he could glide across the floor in a trail of graphite as if being drawn across paper. PencilMan used his new powers to stop crime and aid scientific efforts.
