The pentagonal dodecahedron is one of the many forms in the cubic crystal system. This form belongs to the Diploidal class. The shape name derives from the 12 faces - each in the shape of a pentagon. Pyrite commonly has this form, and it is often referred to as the ‘pyritohedron’.
