This is an animation of a model of the heart, showing how and where the serous pericardium reflects off the surface and onto the internal surface of the fibrous pericardium. The animation shows the heart and its serous pericardium pulled out from the fibrous pericardium, and halfway through the heart is cut in half and the halves separated to better allow the viewer to look into the oblique and transverse sinuses. The animation can be paused and rotated around to better see these spaces. (The internal spaces of the heart and aorta are not included in the model to keep the file size low; the heart and the visceral serous pericardium investing it are modeled as one rather than separate objects). Go through the annotations on the first frame as the markers do not necessarily stay stuck to the animated pieces of the model during the animation.
