More model informationThe Roman Catholic parish church Hofstetten-Grünau is located in Grünau in the market town of Hofstetten-Grünau. The church was founded at the beginning of the 12th century by the Hochfreien von Hofstetten. 1110, the church was spun out of the parish Kilb and 1310 raised to the parish church. The Romanesque hall building was extended late Gothic into a three-nave church with a very high choir. The tower is from the 14th century. In the 18th century the nave became baroque. From 1956 to 1958 the church was restored. The late Gothic extension of the Romanesque church included in particular the addition of the aisles and the extremely high choir, which almost reached the height of the tower.
