Something special for my 1000th public upload:
The Roman Catholic church is located on the southern edge of Pillichsdorf and was formerly surrounded by a cemetery. The parish church is one of the oldest and largest churches in the region. Parts of the Romanesque nave come from the first half of the 13th century, the high choir was built in the Gothic style in the first half of the 15th century, the 45-meter tower was built in the 16th century. After the fire, the nave was given a new vault at the end of the 16th century. In the 18th century, the building was expanded in baroque style. The oldest bell dates from 1715 and was cast by Johann Baptist Dival. (Sound of the bells recorded sunday midday from a distance of approximately 60 meters.)
The tower contains a museum. The rooms, where more than 130 exhibits from the history of the village are exhibited, can be reached via spiral staircases.
