More model information

A Phrygian-boetian type helmet, where one can see the expanded curves around the rim typical of the Boetian, and the elongated crest of the Phrygian helmet.

Made for the RIR: Imperium Surrectum mod, for the game Rome Total War Remastered.

Made in Blender - 896 vertices

The making of such helmets consists of modelling the low-poly version, followed by making a high poly version through the use of the Multi-Res modifier. Any details that the piece might present are sculpted on this copy, after which, they are baked into its low poly counterpart. The goal here is to avoid modelling the additional detail - which would increase the vert count - while still maintaining the illusion that the helmet contains such details.
