More model informationFremont people occupied Utah and surrounding areas from A.D. 0 - 1400. Fremont imagery, such as rock art panels and clay figurines like the 3D image below, have fascinated the public and spurred archaeological research. These figurines, also referred to as “Pilling Figurines,” were intricately sculpted with clay on woven mats and painted. The artists took extra time adorning the figurines with carefully applied hair, necklaces, and clothing. For more information visit history.utah.gov. Several figurines are currently being exhibited at the Utah State University Eastern Prehistoric Museum in Price, Utah.
