This is a 3D scan of a pipeline section with a manufacturing defect as well as a corrosion patch. It was scanned with the HandySCAN 3D and the metal loss can be analysed with Pipecheck software. It is very useful, fast and efficient to determine the pipeline remanining wall thickness and detertime its fitness for service.
