La Zona Arqueológica de El Puente se localiza en La Jigua (municipalidad de La Entrada, Honduras). La ciudad, de origen maya, muy cercana a Copán, fue construida en torno al 570 d.C. Hoy se puede visitar una plaza rectangular, con 9 estructuras excavadas de unas 210 identificadas. En el interior de la plaza, la estructura de un templo piramidal, construido en caliza, levanta 12 metros sobre el suelo.
El Puente Archaeological Zone is located in La Jigua (municipality of La Entrada, Honduras). The Mayan city is located very close to Copan and was built around 570 AD. Today you can visit a rectangular square, with 9 excavated structures of about 210 identified. Inside the square, the structure of a pyramidal temple, built in limestone and with offerings inside, rises 12 meters above the ground. The 3D model was made using 663 drone images (DJI Mavic AIR)., with manual flying, due to the surrounding huge trees. Photogrammetric processing with Reality Capture. Post-processing with Blender.
